Our Story

In an industry steeped in tradition, Bespoken is different from anything you've seen or tasted thanks to a refined yet creative approach; one that aligns purpose with passion. What we call Tailored Wood Finishing allows a hand-selected cultivar of bespoke flavors to erupt within each bottle, all while using less wood, water, and energy than any whiskey ever before.

That’s right. Sustainability is at the forefront of what we do thanks to a proprietary system that uses less wood, energy, and water. Simply put, we also don't lose 20% of our product to evaporation - a crazy industry standard that’s been accepted amongst our competitors thanks to a process that hasn't been innovated, until now. This emphasis on taste, product, and value is a better whiskey for you and the planet.

Derek Jeter

By the time he stepped away from baseball in 2014 after a historic 20-year career, Derek Jeter had established himself as one of the most respected men to ever have played the game. In recognition of his on-field accomplishments and impact on the game, he was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in the Class of 2020.

With a reputation as an unmatched leader both on and off the field, Jeter has established a second career leading a variety of successful business ventures and entrepreneurial investments, while still maintaining his ties with baseball. From 2017-2022, he served as part-owner and CEO of MLB’s Miami Marlins, overseeing the day-to-day for both the business and baseball operations for the team. He was the first African-American to serve in this role for any Major League team in the history of the sport and prioritized diversity in his front office and coaching hires.

  • Jeter is also the founder of The Players’ Tribune, a subsidiary of Minute Media for which he also is a member of the Board. TPT is an innovative multimedia company where world-class athletes share their honest and unique perspectives, bringing fans closer to the games they love. In November 2013, Jeter and Simon & Schuster announced the Jeter Publishing imprint, which has produced a number of New York Times best sellers including the first children’s book released, The Contract, and a full-color photo book called Jeter Unfiltered, which provided fans an in-depth look at his life through never-before-published images taken over the course of his final season.

Jeter continues to be the driving force behind the Turn 2 Foundation, which he established in 1996 to give back to the communities with which he has a close connection, including West Michigan, Tampa and New York City. He satisfies his passion for inspiring young people through initiatives -- like the Jeter’s Leaders program -- that promote academic excellence, leadership development, positive behavior, healthy choices and social change. To date, the Turn 2 Foundation has awarded more than $30 million in grants to create and support signature programs that motivate young people to turn away from drugs and alcohol and “Turn 2” healthy lifestyles.

A five-time World Series champion and member of baseball’s exclusive 3,000-hit club, Jeter earned numerous accolades throughout his career in recognition of both his on-field skill and his commitment to the community, including: World Series MVP (2000); 14 MLB All-Star selections; 5 Gold Glove Awards; 5 Silver Slugger Awards; AL Rookie of the Year (1996); Roberto Clemente Award (2009); and Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year Award (2009). In 2017, the Yankees retired his No. 2 jersey and unveiled a plaque in the famed Monument Park in recognition of his historic career with the organization.
